New York City producer Branchez drops the heavenly video for much buzzed-about single ‘Dreamer’from his recent EP 222 today.
The Ezra Ewen-directed clip for ‘Dreamer’ follows a suitably sumtuous pastel-tinged dreamscape, where renowned skater Arnav ‘Sonic’ Shah rollerblades around New York in a cowboy hat and cellophane cape. Speaking of the video Branchez says “If I had this dream I’d be really pumped. Sonic is a legend and arguably the dreamiest person I’ve ever had to chance to meet/work with. Ezra saw him skating in Washington Square Park and was smart enough to start a conversation. Sonic was excited to show off his skills and hopes to inspire viewers to start skating. I hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed creating it”
Following the release of 222, Branchez can now count Major Lazer & Paces among his fans, both of whom tweeted their praise for the EP. 222 also snared the attention of tastemakers around the globe, such as Billboard, BBC Xtra, Hypetrak, Hilly Dilly, and Run The Trap.
The Branchez train has been running full steam ahead for some time now. He cut his teeth with tracks “Treat You Right” and “Shake” (featured in Skrillex’s Essential Mix), and his bootleg of Rihanna’s “Stay” saw him find his place on the international stage. He also has received high praise for his reworks of What So Not’s “High You Are,” Wet’s “Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl” and Alesso’s “Heroes (We Could Be).” Branchez has toured his electrifying live show with the likes of Zeds Dead, RL Grime and Skrillex. He also visited Australia earlier this year, joining Dillon Francis for a huge run of shows across the country.
With another visit to our shores in the works, there’s plenty to look forward to from Branchez as he continues to dominate 2016.
