After almost a decade, legendary New York rockers Nada Surf are finally returning to Australian shores to celebrate not only the recent release of their seventh full-length record The Stars Are Indifferent To Astronomy, but also their entire back catalogue for the first time ever.

The band maintains healthy touring in America, South America, the UK and across Europe but, until now, Australian fans have been starved of this attention for almost ten years. With a whirlwind tri-state tour that includes Sydney’s the Annandale Hotel, Melbourne’s The Corner and the famous Spiegeltent as part of Brisbane Festival, the band is promising a setlist pulled from their 16 year/seven album career.

Three stages, eight hours of non-stop music and a variety of genres spanning from indie-folk to heavy metal, Brisbane’s 4 Walls Festival is an event geared to bring you the very best of Australia’s freshest up-and-coming talent. Now in its third year, the all ages event has seen the likes of Matt Corby and Last Dinosaurs take to the stage in the past, right before they were swept up into the loving arms of our nation. This year’s festival boasts a similar caliber of talent with The Paper Kites, The Medics, Millions, Cub Scouts, The Belligerents and Fairchild Republic announced as festival headline.

CRYSTAL CASTLES – AUSTRALIAN TOUR

The last time Crystal Castles were in Australia, front woman Alice Glass proved just how rock star she could be, ignoring doctor’s orders to cancel their appearances at the Big Days Out due to a broken ankle. Instead, she took to the stage on crutches and continued to blow everyone’s minds with her karate-inspired antics. She’s now had some time to rest up for Crystal Castles return, joining the summer festival circuit right here in Australia. Along with sets at Falls Festival, Field Day and Southbound, Crystal Castles will be heading to both Brisbane and Adelaide for two mega sideshows.

Andy Bull is finally embarking on his first tour in support of his most recent release The Phantom Pains EP.
