The Mucho Tapedeck with Tape/Off

This week’s Mucho Tapedeck has been programmed by Branko Cosic, drummer of Brisbane band Tape/Off. They’re about to hit the road on their Just a Ride tour which will see them jump in a van and hit up Sydney and Melbourne. Take a listen to the Tape/Off Tour Playlist on Rdio.
Here’s a bit of a guide to the playlist from the man himself:
This list has been chronicled from Morning to Evening. The band is still trying to wake up once the car starts it’s journey, so you can’t have anything to intense to start of with. The Doors & DJ Shadow slowly enhances the mood of the trip. Flying Lotus is nice to listen to when the sun is starting to rise over the highway. The morning sing-a-long starts with ‘Cut Your Hair’. The Air-Guitar and Air-Drums get pulled for ‘Nothing Ever Happened’. ‘Debaser’ turns the car into an afternoon karaoke bar. The vocal chords start becoming very warm by the time McLusky comes on the stereo. All of a sudden, you realise that one of the pitstops went for a bit longer than you budgeted for, so Refused promptly gets put on in the dire hope that we make it to the venue on time. The gear is setup and we nervously wait until showtime to bust out our jams. To help getting in the right frame of mind, The Rapture’s ‘Echoes’ comes, and everybody agrees that something awesome is going to happen tonight. After having an absolutely blitzing show, we pack up our gear and start heading home. Twerps’ ‘Who Are You’ is playing along and the passengers start to drift off in a euphoric haze of satisfaction.
