In February 2012 three of the nations hottest upcoming outfits – millions, Nantes and Northeast Party House – are combining their indie-rock sounds for a co-headline tour around the country – The Triple Treat Tour. Hailing from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne respectively, these three artists all share the common thread of being officially ‘unearthed’ by national broadcaster triple j. After frontwoman Alice Glass proved her rock star caliber earlier in the year by ignoring doctor’s warnings and rocking out on stage with a broken ankle, Crystal Castles return to our shores, joining the summer festival circuit with sets at Falls Festival, Field Day and Southbound. Crystal Castles will also be heading to both Brisbane and Adelaide for two mega sideshows.

Don’t be alarmed if you switch on the radio this Summer and hear a banging new single from Tara Simmons, sounding a little different than perhaps what you were used to from this Brisbane musician. The single is called ‘Be Gone’ and represents a wide-eyed, sonic and visual direction-change for the young singer who is currently polishing off work on her second album (due for release in the first quarter of 2012).
