Rockets

It seems there is some kind of unique bond that comes from meeting in high school. A common cliché amongst bands is forming in their teenage years through a shared distaste in schoolwork, thus playing music. School chums Paul Taylor, Tom Croston, and Hewett Cook with the addition of long time friend Dave Stevens sit amongst this age-old cliché, however together as Rockets, this Sydney band is anything but.
Paul ‘Woody’ Annison (Children Collide, Howl, Cabins) was the man enthused to take the reigns to capture their unique yet familiar sound on their debut self-titled EP at Red Door Studios in Melbourne. With Woody’s direction, the recording process brought out the raw talent of the four piece, and has produced four tracks that they are extremely proud of.
The first single off the EP, ‘Toad’ instantly put Rockets under the eyes of radio broadcasters triple j and FBi with favourable reviews all round. In the count down to their EP release, Rockets are fired up and ready for lift off.
