Timothy Carroll returns to our shores having meandered his way across western Europe playing shows in Paris, Dubin, Berlin, Stockholm and at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK. As well as performing these shows Carroll has penned and recorded a diary of new songs, one for each month of the year he was away. NANTES – ‘FLY’ VIDEO + NEW SINGLE ‘CHARLIE’

Sydney’s Nantes are killing it currently and their debut release simply titled “EP” is out tomorrow (Friday, October 21) and features the well-received first single ‘Fly’ as well as the brand new single ‘Charlie’, added straight to triple j just this week. Here is the video for ‘Fly’ released to TV this week – look out for it on the small screen.

CRYSTAL CASTLES ANNOUNCE SIDESHOWS

The last time Crystal Castles were in Australia, front woman Alice Glass proved just how rock star she could be, ignoring doctor’s orders to cancel their appearances at the Big Days Out due to a broken ankle. Instead, she took to the stage on crutches and continued to blow everyone’s minds with her karate-inspired antics. She’s now had some time to rest up for Crystal Castles return, joining the summer festival circuit right here in Australia. Along with sets at Falls Festival, Field Day and Southbound, Crystal Castles will be heading to both Brisbane and Adelaide for two mega sideshows. (more…)

NANTES RELEASE DEBUT EP AND ANNOUNCE EAST-COAST TOUR

Sydney indie-rock gazers Nantes have gained deserved acclaim since making their entrance early 2011. The band recently put the final touches to their debut four track, self-titled EP and are set to unveil the new release in November on a tour taking in the east coast.

M JACK BEE – ‘SOUND OF LOVE’ SINGLE RELEASE

M Jack Bee is set to deliver his upcoming single ‘Sound of Love’ released nationally on October 14th. To celebrate, the charismatic soloist from Byron Bay, is heading out for a run of east coast shows to release the track, with his first band in tow.

‘Sound of Love’ follows his 2010 release ‘In Loops’ which received praise from Rhythm Magazine (‘world class’) and TIME OFF proclaimed the live show ‘a revelation’. Recorded in a single day in Sydney, this release was influenced by the expertise of producer Dave Symes (MD for Sarah Blasko, Sleepy Jackson).
