HUNGRY KIDS OF HUNGARY AND BALL PARK MUSIC RELEASE “COME TOGETHER”

The recent collaboration between Brisbane bands HUNGRY KIDS OF HUNGARY and BALL PARK MUSIC on The Beatles’ classic Abbey Road track opener ‘Come Together’ is now available exclusively on iTunes.

Recorded with super-producer MAGOO at his Applewood Studios only a couple of weeks ago, the song is currently soundtracking the Together Brisbane campaign, an initative designed to essentially show the world that Brisbane is well and truly open for business again post-floods.

BEN SALTER PLAYS VINYL THIS SUNDAY

Sunday sessions at Vinyl – the bar at The Hi-Fi in West End – just got a whole lot better this week with Brisbane’s own Ben Salter picking up the acoustic for a quiet session of the finest this town has seen. Celebrating the re-launch of his solo debut EP Perceived Slights, Salter will play a couple of quiet sets at 5 and 6pm.

While best known as a founding member of The Gin Club, Giants of Science and The Wilson Pickers where most of compositions end up, Salter is no stranger to appearing alone in the spotlight and has slowly accrued a collection of his own songs.

HUNGRY KIDS OF HUNGARY ANNOUNCE SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS APPEARANCE

Brisbane indie rockers Hungry Kids of Hungary have announced that they will be playing a coveted slot at this year’s Splendour In The Grass, a first for the band, over the July 29 to August 1 weekend in Woodfordia, Queensland. With the band taking a well-earned hiatus from the road to demo material for album number two, this will be a stand-alone set following the completion of their last headline tour for 2011.
