Currently enjoying radio-play of her new single ‘Put Me Back Together’, Sydney songmaker Lupa J today releases an accompanying music video and is proud to announce a national support for Brooklyn-based alt-hiphop boss K. Flay.
Not many are as in control of their own creative journey as much as Lupa J. Still only 19 years old, she not only has self-released two EPs and a fistful of singles, but also has entirely recorded, produced, sung and performed virtually everything herself. ‘Put Me Back Together’ is proving to be one of the most embraced, snaring rotation on FBi and spot play on community radio nationwide as well as triple j. The latter’s Unearthed High competition nominated her as a finalist twice, offering her the exposure to be exclusively selected to play some mighty fine supports with the likes of Grimes, Tegan & Sara and Sarah Blasko, to name a few.
The video is a visual feast of dance, colours, and unique shapes and images conceptualized; devised, directed and edited Lupa J with the help of family and friends. It also features a star-studded cast of friends and supporters: Marcus Whale, Kimchi Princi (Gina Karlikoff) and Gussy – a real team effort.
