West End locals are about to be served up a #cluckinggoodtime with the opening of Lucky Egg West End at the newly refurbished Good Time Bar on Boundary Street.
Arguably Brisbane’s favourite fried chicken joint since its inception two years ago, the Lucky Egg empire expands from its original home at The Brightside and launches its second store in early July. Coinciding with the revamp and relaunch of Good Time Bar, the pairing is a match made in boozy-fried-chicken-heaven.
The perfect spot for a takeaway lunch or knock off beers and burgs, Lucky Egg and Good Time Bar also have your pre-gig drinks and dinner needs sorted with Max Watts conveniently just around the corner. The new-look Good Time Bar with added Lucky Egg combines relaxed street dining with craft beer and staple cocktails as well as seasonal drink concoctions. Keen bean hunters can also still get their caffeine fix with coffee served on the daily.
Lucky Egg’s new extra-large West End kitchen will be pumping out beloved favourites like its gingery Karaage and Buffalo Crispy Burger. Along with these crowd pleasing heavy hitters, owner Jacob Knauth is excited to introduce new items like spicy noodle bowls, crunchy aromatic fried chicken share plates and even ‘LTE’ options for anyone still sticking to their 2k17 NY health kick.
The space is currently undergoing renovations with Good Time Bar boasting revamped interiors, furniture, additional taps, craft beer, cocktail offerings, and of course, the addition of Lucky Egg. Under the direction of Bar Manager Zac Gould – bringing his years of experience managing Fortitudes Valleys The Black Bear Lodge, Zac is dotting the t’s and crossing the i’s to make Good Time Bar into the next great bar of West End.
The transformation of Good Time Bar and Lucky Egg into West End’s newest hangout destination is almost complete with the official opening early July. Follow Lucky Egg and Good Time Bar on Instagram and Facebook for opening week specials and have a #cluckinggoodtime.
