|Picking up right where they left off with ‘Change My Mind’, IV League return with guitar heavy, garage-pop banger ‘Superstar’, the first cut from their forthcoming EP, out later this year.
Conjuring visuals of the late nineties, IV League’s new single could easily slot in on the‘Ten Things I Hate About You’ soundtrack, sitting snugly in between Letters To Cleoand Hole. ‘Superstar’s slick contemporary sheen smooths IV League’s bubble-grunge influence while retaining the quintessential ringing guitars tones and pop-infused fuzzed out vocals that have enamored fans since the band’s inception.
Employing the assistance of producer Malcolm Besley (City Calm Down, The Creases, Northeast Party House, Client Liaison) and mastering magic from Grammy award winning Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, Phoenix, The Killers, Vampire Weekend, Grizzly Bear) ‘Superstar’ is the first taste of what’s to come off their forthcoming debut EP, due out later this year.
Up-sizing the musical treats, IV League present a visual accompaniment to ‘Superstar’ which sees front woman Bella Venutti leading the sonic revolution and inspiring the four-piece to break free from their mundane, fast food jobs that quash their creativity, grab their instruments and drive of into the sunset.
