HUNGRY KIDS OF HUNGARY INK DEAL WITH ROUGH TRADE BENELUX
November 28th, 2011 | By
While Hungry Kids of Hungary have been a little quiet on the home front since their massive sold-out Final Escapades Tour in May, the band has been has been garnering a lot of traction in the Benelux where they have just inked a deal with Rough Trade to release their debut album Escapades.
First single for the area was the radio hit Scattered Diamonds – originally released at home in April of 2009 – and it’s grown into somewhat of a radio behemoth since, peaking in the Top 40 and achieving high rotation playlisting on 3FM, Kink FM and Radio 538 as well as the video snaring high rotation on MTV. Naturally, this has paved the way for second single – Let You Down – which 3FM jumped on and playlisted immediately making HKOH one of only three artists with simultaneous tracks on high rotation (the other two, no less than Snow Patrol and Red Hot Chili Peppers).
Escapades will be in stores across the Benelux – which includes Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg – by the week’s end and is already available via the Rough Trade website and all digital outlets.
