The Jungle Giants – No Sleep ‘Til New Years
November 3rd, 2011 | By
The Jungle Giants have dished up their first serving of indie-pop gems to audiences across the country in 2011, impacting as one of the most hyped young Australian outfits to watch. With debut single ‘Mr Polite’ still getting a lot of radio love, it’s to no surprise that their year is far from ending, with more shows and festivals appearances on their way.
Since delivering their self-titled debut EP back in May, the band have charmed community radio stations FBi, SYN and 4ZzZ, and received notable recognition from triple j for their highlight single ‘Mr Polite’. The recently released video clip for the track has turned further heads, pairing the strength of the single with an incredibly creative animation that perfectly sums up the band’s charismatic charm.
The band received their first taste of extended touring in October supporting Ball Park Music to packed out venues along the east coast. The Jungle Giants warmed stages, swooned crowds and delivered their outstanding and vibrant live show to receptive audiences, receiving a wealth of positive reviews in return:
“I seriously could not fault The Jungle Giants’ performance on stage. It is clear that in their short time together they have worked hard at perfecting their live shows.” – The 59th Sound
As 2011 draws to a close, the band are refusing to give-up the momentum of their action packed year by concluding it with an interstate run of shows in November and December. With festival appearances lined up at Shine On in Lexton, Victoria and Your Festival in Newcastle, the tour is set to finish with a climactic headline performance on December 8th at Oh Hello in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. The Jungle Giants will then finally see out the year with two shows on New Year’s Eve in front of enamoured crowds in both Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
With only a handful of chances left to catch The Jungle Giants before the year’s end, don’t miss these last opportunities to see why the band are turning heads and kicking goals around the country.
