Official Nanna Night Launch Featuring Ben Salter

June 16th, 2011 | By

The weekly Wednesday night occasion, Nanna Night, at Vinyl in West End has grown to be quite the midweek hang out since it’s casual inception. The secret’s out as we officially launch Nanna Night on June 29th. Ben Salter will be joining us for one of his acclaimed solo sets with friendly appearances from members of The Gin Club, Stress of Leisure and Texas Tea.
Nanna Night is the perfect midweek musical treat. Local and interstate bands grace the intimate space with stripped back acoustic sets, where their songwriting, instrumentation and vocals really shine. The likes of Spring Skier and Numbers Radio have already impressed and with upcoming performances from Kellie Lloyd of Screamfeeder and Adelaide indie chaps City Riots, Nanna Night is undoubtedly the place to be. On top of this, its early start makes it the perfect post-work stop, not to mention the $15 Roast ‘n’ Red special to warm the insides.
The official launch comes with a particular Brisbane flavour thanks to local lad Ben Salter. Whether it’s in The Gin Club, Giants of Science, The Wilson Pickers or just him, Salter is well and truly a recognised part of the Brisbane’s music scene. This special acoustic performance will feature new material from his forthcoming album as well as collaborations with Kate Jacobsen from Texas Tea, Ian and Pascalle from Stress of Leisure and some of the fellow ginners making the 29th one not to miss!
Nanna Night happens every Wednesday night at Vinyl from 6pm.
