Brisbane indie rockers Hungry Kids of Hungary have announced that they will be playing a coveted slot at this year’s Splendour In The Grass, a first for the band, over the July 29 to August 1 weekend in Woodfordia, Queensland. With the band taking a well-earned hiatus from the road to demo material for album number two, this will be a stand-alone set following the completion of their last headline tour for 2011.
This caps another busy 12 months for the band that has seen them drop their debut album Escapades, tour the country over and wow tastemakers and audiences alike at this years South By South West and Canadian Music Week. Currently the band is sitting at #90 on the American College Music Chart and will hit the road in April/May with The Chemist, Andy Bull and Daniel Lee Kendall for their THE FINAL ESCAPADE TOUR.
