BONFIRE NIGHTS OWN WORST ENEMY TOUR + UK SHOWS
March 8th, 2011 | By
Celebrating the recent release of their ‘Own Worst Enemy’ video and single, Bonfire Nights are hitting the road to play a quick succession of shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this month. Now officially a trio, the tour also marks the last Australian shows for the band for some time as they announce they’ll be relocating to the UK to record and tour from May.
Its been a little over a year since Bonfire Nights debuted their live show. The 12 months prior to this saw the initial sparks of the project which came about after founding members (and coincidental couple) Ruth Nitkiewicz and Steve Foster finally decided to try their hands at a collaborative project and their initial house-bound tinkering was encouraged into a studio.
Tackling the project in a less conventional manner, the pair then recorded their debut release before they even played their first show; the resulting self-titled EP (released July 2010) was a candid but solid early snapshot of the band.
Upon translating the recorded project to stage, the band enlisted the help of their good friend, Nicole Hoaran on keys and synth and after becoming a staple element to the live show and writing process the band is now officially extended for their next, anticipated chapter.
