HUNGRY KIDS OF HUNGARY &OH MERCY CO-HEADLINE SHOW

Tuesday, June 9 @ The Troubadour, Brisbane
After sharing a mutual online admiration for some time now, Brisbane’s Hungry Kids of Hungary and Melbourne’s Oh Mercy will finally be combining their collective prowess for killer pop hooks and glowing live presence for a one night only affair at The Troubadour Tuesday, June 9.
With both bands having been tagged as break-out acts for the early stages of 2009, the show is sure to be a shared cultivation of sonic highlights.
The journey began only about 12 months ago for HKoH, a time that has included a Big Day Out appearance, two EP releases (including their most recent Mega Mountain), two triple j high rotated singles, a sell-out tour with Unearthed favourites Philadelphia Grand Jury and Washington, endless support slots and a massive swell in their fanbase.
In the meantime, Oh Mercy have released to radio the singles, ‘Lay Everything On Me’ and ‘Seemed Like A Good Idea’, and toured consistently with everyone from Little Birdy, The Panics, Whitley and Sparkadia to international heavyweights The Kaiser Chiefs and Ben Kweller. It has all culminated with the release of their debut EP In The Nude For Love, a combination of masterful songwriting and polished pop brilliance. This will be the first Brisbane show for Oh Mercy after the release of In The Nude For Love on May 22.
