Dave Graney – I Am Curious Solo Tour
September 17th, 2008 | By ben
Australia’s greatest and only Dave Graney is heading north from Melbourne to play for his NSW and QLD comrades over the next couple of weeks. Graney will be accompanied on the QLD and Norther NSW leg by his acoustic and electric guitars and an opening set by fellow traveller Henry Wagons. This set is hot. No one else is playing this stuff. The sounds and the lyrical fire. They ain’t dabbling in the shallows , they ain’t tryin’ this’n’ that on ……..they are “grabbin’ handfulls of the shit!”

We Wuz Curious is Graney’s 20th album release (including the soundtrack to the film Bad Eggs) he has been involved in. This album is the only one of its kind in the world, no one else is remotely near it in the chords and the grooves and the lyrical fire. Recorded quickly, by a band, all in the one place at the same moment, We Wuz Curious is still composed and measured, though full of lyrical and sonic fire. It’s great. It’s a band album and is so credited to the Lurid Yellow Mist. It’s is also a Dave Graney album with half of the 12 songs beginning with the pronoun, “I”.
